Be FMCSA Compliant With a USDOT Corrective Action Plan
Don’t get your company shut down after a failed safety audit. The coaches at Progressive Reporting can help you write a corrective action plan that will be accepted by the FMCSA and help get your truck back on the road or keep your company from being shut down.
Why Would You Need a Corrective Action Plan?
You may need a corrective action plan if your company failed your new entrant safety audit or compliance review. You may also need something similar to a corrective action plan to upgrade your safety rating from “conditional” to “satisfactory”; it’s called a safety upgrade request. We can help with that too!
What Does the DOT Require?
If you are issued a notice of violation, you are required to submit a corrective action plan to the USDOT within 60 days. Each plan must:
- State why the violation occurred
- What corrective actions you will take to correct the deficiency
- What corrective actions you will continue to take to prevent the deficiency from occurring again.
If you don’t follow the format outlined by the FMCSA, your business may be put out-of-service.
