The First Step: Protect Your Assets

The first step we recommend is to form either a Corporation or an LLC (Limited Liability Company). Creating a business entity for your trucking company instead of conducting business under your own name is a critical first step. Having such an entity helps protect your personal assets like your home and your personal banking accounts. We can help you with this task as part of getting your MC Authority. The Next Step: Get Your Authority

Next, we’ll help you apply for your Trucking Authority by applying for your FMCSA Registration. We will be able to get you your USDOT Number and MC Number on the same day you apply, but it takes a minimum of 21 days for your Motor Carrier Authority to become active. That will give you time to get insurance, complete all the drug and alcohol requirements, and any other registration requirements you may have.
